Paul Baker has been involved with music from childhood. Through the usual childhood piano lessons and junior and senior high band programs in the Dallas, Texas area, Paul continued his musical education as a saxophonist and composer at the University of North Texas, where he performed in the One O'clock Lab Band and earned his Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies, and the University of Southern California where he earned an Advanced Studies Certificate in Music Composition for Film and Television. Along the way, Paul has been active in the Dallas/Ft.Worth, Los Angeles, and Austin music communities and has performed across the U.S. and Europe in a wide variety of musical environments ranging from jazz to classical to Broadway to film scores to rock ‘n roll and R&B. His compositions have been published and sold nationwide, and, again, they cover a broad stylistic spectrum from big band jazz to theatrical arrangements to religious choral music to numerous computer game scores.
